New Microsoft Antivirus To Roll Out Soon

Microsoft will roll out its new antivirus software, Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) in the coming weeks.

Microsoft expressed satisfaction on the development of the software and thanked its beta testers for their co-ordination. The company also told that, the polished edition of Microsoft Security Essentials will be launched in the coming weeks.

Microsoft also asked beta testers to upgrade to the newest version of the test software as soon as possible to make a smooth transition to the final version.

According to the sources, MSE will be good enough to provide real time protection against spyware, rootkit and Trojans for Windows versions like Windows XP 32-bit, Windows Vista/7 32-bit and Windows Vista/7 64-bit systems.

The new antivirus software is codenamed as Morro after Brazil's Morro de Sao Paolo beach, was leaked in June much before its release prompting the developers to put a new beta version(1.0.1407.00) for that.

The new announcement is expected to affect the security suite developers like Symantec and McAfee, who generate billions of dollars of revenue a year protecting Windows PCs from attacks by hackers.
